Q: I am 45 and live alone.  Can I use PAL BUTTON too?

Q: Will the system work if there is a power failure in my home?

A: Yes!  Your PAL BUTTON system is equipped with a backup battery that lasts three to five days. The battery will recharge automatically when the power is restored.

Q: What if my PAL BUTTON Care Manager can't hear me?

A:  Don't worry.  If you cannot speak or be heard your Care Manager will dispatch help to you immediately and will stay on the line with you until they arrive.

Q: How do Paramedics enter if the door is locked?

A: To avoid paramedics breaking down your door,  we recommend that you use the KEY SAFE box.  Your spare key is safely hidden inside this device and accessed only with a special combination number.  Your PAL Care Manager will give the paramedics this number when on the way to your home.  KEY SAFE is available at a discount when combined with a PAL BUTTON system.

Q: What if I push my PAL BUTTON by mistake?

A: No problem. Just tell your Care Manager that you do not need help.  There are no extra fees for false alarms when using your PAL BUTTON.
